WHAT IS YOUR IKIGAI?

Think Need, Passion, Purpose & Pay!
giving you the tools you need
Dreams ask something of us. They ask us to be brave, to tolerate uncertainty, to risk disappointment, and to keep moving forward when the outcome is not guaranteed. Yet I have met few people who regretted pursuing a meaningful dream. The regrets usually belong to the dreams left untouched, the opportunities declined, and the life not fully lived. Perhaps there is wisdom in paying attention to that distinction.
MARSHA FERRICK
Helping you one skill at at time to find your life purpose and support you along your journey.
At LIFE IN PROGRESS taking your dreams to reality is about learning how to::
• move from a dream to a plan
• making the plan manageable goals
• putting the goals into baby steps (doable)
Staying accountable and creating structure to take action the steps. Celebrating the steps while self validating movement forward. Surrounding yourself with cheerleaders and distancing yourself from the naysayers. Stay the course and find your grit when the going gets hard or slow or you feel stuck. It is utilizing resources, reaching out when you need assistance, and turning errors into creative opportunities. It is about learning to love playing on plateaus until you make the leap to the next level. In reality, taking your dreams to reality is a journey in which you grow and learn without surrounding to I can’t or if only.
You might fail but you learn until you get it right. Edison said he did not fail a 1000 times to find the filament that would last for the light bulb. The were steps to finding the right one.
You will make mistakes. Learn from them adjust accordingly keep going.
Dreams are easy to talk about implementing a plan and carrying it out takes grit..
Dreams taken to reality require belief in yourself sometimes when no one else does.
Often we blame lack of resources for not carrying our our dreams. Resources can be found. Where there is a will there is a way.
We fail to prioritize turning our dream to reality. Schedule time in your schedule regularly to work on your dream to reality plan.
Whether we realize it or not, each of us is on a journey. Every day, we are moving along a path shaped by our choices, our circumstances, and the meaning we make of our experiences. This journey isn’t about a literal heaven or hell—that isn’t our expertise. It’s about the direction we’re headed right now. It’s about the next step in front of us and whether that step feels possible, aligned, or even visible.
Many people arrive here feeling uncertain or stuck. You may be thinking, “I don’t even know what my next step is,” or “I can see the path, but I can’t seem to reach it.” Others feel as though they’ve wandered off course entirely, or that life took a turn they never anticipated. Perhaps a long-held dream was shattered, leaving only fragments of what once felt possible. Or maybe you’ve been on a path for a long time, doing all the “right” things, yet your sense of forward movement feels stalled.
Life transitions—whether chosen, unexpected, or born of loss—can leave us feeling untethered. In these moments, it’s common to feel alone, directionless, frustrated, angry, or hopeless. Sometimes the exhaustion runs so deep that we want to quit, withdraw, or disappear for a while. These responses are human and understandable. But what if the obstacle in front of you isn’t a personal failure, a fatal flaw, or an insurmountable mountain? What if what’s needed isn’t a dramatic reinvention—but the development of a few new skills, perspectives, or supports?
At Life in Progress, we believe that movement forward often begins with learning how to navigate what we’re already facing. You don’t have to have the whole journey mapped out. You only need enough clarity, confidence, and support to take the next right step.
Explore the topics below for skills that are often essential in adult life—yet rarely taught, named, or practiced until we find ourselves needing them most. You don’t have to walk this path alone. Let us help you turn what feels uncertain into something more navigable, grounded, and possible.

Everyone is a cynic. If you have dream go for it. If you love your dream don't settle.
Is it? Five publisher's turned down the rights to publish "Harry Potter". No one has a crystal ball. Do not be discouraged.
How do they know? It's your dream, you may need to hire other experts along the way but that is normal.
Competing demands will occur make sure to schedule your plans and goals into your calendar..
Yes, it is but nothing ventured nothing gained. In two decades will you regret that you might have risked or that you did not try?
You might fail. Join the club of great failures my favorite is Walt Disney. He went bankrupt 7 times. Failure is not the problem quitting is the problem. Learn and keep going.
take your time, develop a team for support. be accountable. stay the course.

No but if you risk sometimes they do.
Manifesting requires more than thinking. It requires engagement and effort. So not pursuing a dream requires more than thinking.
True. Although not always linear moving from a dream to reality requires a map, otherwise you might find yourself wandering in the desert.
If you are extremely lucky “yes” but if you fit the average response you will run into many naysayers and wet blanket throwers often those closest to you.
Unlikely. It might be similar. It might be even close. It may be even better that you dreamed, or you might not get to quite where you want. In rare cases it may fail all together but other miracles may have occurred along the way. Whatever it is you will never wonder about what might have been.
